The North American Association of Educational Negotiators (NAEN) is a network of educational management experts for effective employee relations. NAEN members are management negotiators in K-12 school districts, community colleges, and universities.
As a member of the only international professional organization of educational negotiators, you can build a network of colleagues and experts to call when that insurmountable problem lands on your desk. An issue may be new to you, but someone in NAEN has probably dealt with a similar problem in the past. There is a wealth of knowledge within NAEN waiting to be tapped. The NAEN Bulletin is our official publication about school district negotiations trends and issues. A list of resource articles (329 KB PDF file) under 36 different topics from the Bulletin is available.
NAEN has approximately members from the United States and Canada (24% are from Canada). NAEN, created in 1968, was formally incorporated in 1970 in Virginia and has been serving as a network for management negotiators in school districts for the last 40 years. We have a volunteer board of 11 members from across the U.S. and Canada. The board meets twice a year with our major business meeting at the annual conference.
