NAEN Board Policies

Pursuant to NAEN Bylaws, Article IV Section 1, the Board of Directors has the authority to formulate policies for the program and services of the Association that are consistent and subject to those bylaws.  Accordingly, the board of directors has adopted the following policies:

  • Whistleblower Policy: Adopted 9-30-11. The policy: (1) encourages members, staff and volunteers to come forward with credible information on illegal practices or serious violations of adopted policies of the NAEN; (2) specifies that the NAEN will protect the person from retaliation; and (3) identifies where such information can be reported.

  • Conflict of Interest: Adopted 3-7-09, the Conflict of Interest policy of the North American Association of Educational Negotiators (NAEN): (1) defines conflicts of interest; (2) identifies classes of individuals within the NAEN covered by this policy; (3) facilitates disclosure of information that may help identify conflicts of interest; and (4) specifies procedures to be followed in managing conflicts of interest.
